Kathy is Dean of University Libraries at Central Michigan University. She is a leader and educator who is passionate about lifelong learning and assisting others in developing their careers and strengthening their organizations. During her professional career, she has taught middle school and high school students, has provided library services and instruction, and has served as a manager, administrator, and leader.

Learning how to reflect, rather than ruminate, on our experiences is a powerful and transformative practice. Kathy has experience facilitating learning opportunities on fostering a creative mindset, managing conflict, assessing and shifting organizational culture, and Conversations Worth Having. She provides face-to-face professional development opportunities in the Great Lakes region of the U.S. and virtual personalized learning opportunities. She is committed to providing affordable training for individuals and organizations in the education, library, and nonprofit sectors.

Kathy has earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education, a master’s degree in library and information science, a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on nonprofit leadership, and a PhD in educational leadership. Currently, she is pursuing a graduate certificate in talent development.
