Laurie Anderson Finnegan, also known to many as “Elle,” is a seasoned professional in the fields of healthcare, education, and broadcasting. She is known among her clients and colleagues as a “Champion of People.” As a former television and radio reporter, producer, anchor, host, and educator, Laurie knows the power of inquiry and has been practicing it since beginning her career as a general assignment news reporter for a local CBS affiliate. She spent two decades working in broadcast and cable TV as a subject matter expert in the disciplines of medicine, health and wellness, parenting, and business computing. Laurie finds her greatest joy working as a thought-partner with her clients and colleagues, alike. She is a pursuer of meaningful, impactful work that creates the highest levels of professional growth and leadership development for her clients.
Her expertise in organization development draws on individual, team, and whole-system strengths to create successful, influential, and profitable programs. Laurie specializes in positive organization development, strategic fundraising, and executive, career-transition, and performance coaching.
Laurie is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University where she earned a master’s degree in Positive Organization Development and Change through the Weatherhead School of Management, is an alumna of the Hudson Institute of Coaching; and she is a credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In addition, Laurie is certified in Appreciative Inquiry’s 5-D cycle; Conversations Worth Having; SOAR’s strategic conversations, thinking and planning; compassionate coaching, team, career, and executive coaching; MBTI Types I and II assessments; and fundraising management. Laurie is professionally trained and experienced as an on-air television and radio presenter, writer, and producer, accomplished instructional designer and facilitator, non-profit fundraising expert who excels in storytelling and copywriting. Her approach to positive and sustainable change management is grounded in the theory and practice of Intentional Change.
Laurie is an avid reader and creative writer; she enjoys golf, meditation, and spending time with her family and dear friends. She lives in Concord, NH, with her husband John. They have two adult children, Briana (Patrick) Acone, and Michael (Haley) Finnegan, and two beautiful grandchildren, Collins Lee, and Rory.
